Ben Godwin is a freelance graphic and web designer in Austin, Texas. He has been designing for the web and other media since 1999, and is the founder of Ambivert Creative.

He is a synthesist mutualist devoted to promoting cooperation, mutual-aid, community, and self-reliance — toward the goal of moving out from under the state/corporate grid to form a free society within the shell of the old.

  2. Anarchists oppose all forms of capitalism because it is predicated on title-based ownership, weakens a community-based ‘gift’ economy, and just leads to the rise of a new ownership elite. Mutualism, Syndicalism, and communism, which are just subcategories to one Grand Unified Anarchist Economy, are the ways to go. All of these “anarcho”-capitalist schemes strike me as being failures of reason- You’re starting by presuming capitalism and working your way to statelessness from there, rather than starting by questioning every assumption and building a new, just, fair, and functional system from scratch as Anarchists have done.
